Inspired by Efrén Olivares (C'05) and his talk on "Zero Tolerance: Journeys Through Family Separation and US Immigration Policy" at Penn in September 2023, Areli Martinez Pizano started a bi-weekly series titled "Immigration Series" to continue the conversation about undocumented immigrants in the United States. The topic for the series changes each week, highlighting things like implicit bias, cultural loss, mixed-family status, and dual identity. These conversations are open to everyone who is interested in immigrant rights, undocumented immigrants, and what does it mean to be an "American" in this country.
