Ancient instruments and angelic vocals. The four women of Finnish folk music group Kardemimmit showcase the heritage of the kantele, their country’s national instrument. Alongside 15- and 38-stringed kanteles, the quartet sings mesmerizing harmonies in original compositions that blend a modern approach with a deep foundation in Finnish, Eastern European and Scandinavian traditions.
